Jam Packed Weekend - Day UNO

So, alot went on this past weekend.

I went to a friends' wedding at the Palm House; a once in a lifetime experience. It was superb! After leaving there at midnight, I met up with my friend Lex 9 arounf 2:30am, where i gave her a gift bag chuck full of stuff for my birthday getaway.

I used a small straw beach bag and filled with goodies: including a neck pillow and eye mask (to catch up on sleep, that we didn’t get the night before) a aluminum water bottle and a hoodie that had “Shakira and Alexis take Miami: sprawled across the hood of it.

So Saturday morning we woke up and went to LaGuardia airport and check-in for our flight to Miami. We spent the hours before our departure at the AA Admiral Lounge, courteous of my AMEX card, where we had breakfast.

We slept through our flight and headed to the hotel, we stayed at the Ritz Carlton South Beach. Despite a complication with AMEX Vacation, RC processed our reservation, took our bags and offered us a discount for lunch. We gladly accepted Hannah, a RC manager, offer and enjoyed our lunch poolside at their restaurant. The weather was beautiful. The sun was gorgeous and the sky was blue, and we had the rest of the day to enjoy it. Or so we thought, we checked to see if our room was slean which it was. When we got to the room, it was so nicely decked out. We unpacked our bags and took a snooze. A snooze until……. EIGHT P.M.

We couldn’t believe it. We went down to concierge and made a reservation at Mr. Chow’s. There food was great. It was so busy when we got there. We found out that it was Swim Fashion Week and there was so many models and celebrities there, despite the heavy rains. The streets were flooded and a lot of traffic that night, but the sidewalk was overflowing with people that night

Renewal in the Springtime

Hey, long time no blog. I life has been busy, busy the past few months.

April
I finally attended the Tribeca Film Festival in April (and early May) with my good friend Lauren. We had so much fun. Awesome!

Received an (unexpected) invitation to attend a friend's wedding on the 16th of July. The wedding ceremony is in the city and the reception is at the PALM HOUSE at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. I can't believe it the Palm House! Thr grounds will be open exclusively to us for the reception.

May
I attended the Women of NY Foundation Annual Breakfast, hosted by Solidad O'Brien and honoring Eileen Fischer and Mary J. Blidge. I also attended the Women of NY Foundation event at Bloomingdales, which was also very nice.

My parents had their 30th Anniversary and my father's 65th Birthday. I also help my good friend throw her mom a bridal shower. I went so well.

I lost my Blackberry! I have been out of reach of everybody. [I miss my PA (personal assistant) Mr. 8900, Jorge] I refuse to buy a new one. I will find my

June
I booked my flight for Jamaica, to attend my family reunion. Can't wait!

I went to my friend, Alexis, cousin's 30th surprise party. I was really honored that my friend's aunt invited me. Everyone really enjoyed themselves.

I booked my trip for my 29th Birthday Yay! I can't wait. Miami baby! The Palm House then off to Miami.

July
I was suppose to help a friend Vicky with her first baby shower. But I still helped out before I left to Florida.

I had to go to Tampa to see my gradfather, who was diagnosed with terminal cancer. The trip was so bittersweet. It was a great opportunity to spend time with my family and hear new family stories. But it was so sad because the patriarch of the family won't be around for many more of these visits. I had a great roadtrip with my parent, we had good quality time.

Next up ....

I am planning to take my goddaughter, Chloe' Autumn, and my other goddaughter Michelle Nichole, to Sesame place and the Crayola Factory in PA. Those girls are a BLAST!

I have to organize my Miami trip and hopefully attend a girlfriend's getaway at the end of August. ( That's four vacay's this summer. I did go on vacation or really celebrate my birthday last summer. So I guess I am making up for last year.)
