Well the month of January has been extremely busy. I had two events back to back, tow consecutive weekends. I almost went crazy. I will tell you about the first event. It was an event for a dear friend of mine. I hosted a baby shower for my dear friend Lisa King (nee’ Gaines). When I first got involved in this event, I had a totally different vision. But I came out beautifully. I loved the venue, especially since it was in a church. But I hosted the shower with Lisa’s BFF Dawniel. She added some awesome details to the shower that were intricate, and tied everything together. While we were setting up, I came up with the idea to close off part of the room from Lisa and the other guests. We created two settings for her. The larger room was the dining area; Lisa’s meet & greet and eat area. I t was nicely decorated. But all of the show pieces were in the smaller, closed off room. The second room had a decorated chair, 3-D cake, a diaper cake with favors, some pictures and all of her presents. I especially wanted to have this “secret room” because someone accidently told Lisa of the details of the shower.
